3:58 ذَلِكَ نَتْلُوهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنَ الآيَاتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيمِ
"This is what we rehearse unto thee of the Signs and the Message of Wisdom."
6:90 أُوْلَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ قُل لاَّ
أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْراً إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْرَى لِلْعَالَمِينَ
Those were the (prophets) who received Allah's guidance: Copy the guidance they received; Say: "No reward for this do I ask of you: This is no less than a message for the nations."
7:63 أَوَعَجِبْتُمْ أَن جَاءكُمْ ذِكْرٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَلَى
رَجُلٍ مِّنكُمْ لِيُنذِرَكُمْ وَلِتَتَّقُواْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
"Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?"
12:104 وَمَا تَسْأَلُهُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
And no reward dost thou ask of them for this: it is no less than a message for all creatures.
15:9 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ
We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).
16:43 وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ
الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.
16:44 بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالزُّبُرِ وَأَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ
الذِّكْرَ لِتُبَيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ مَا نُزِّلَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
(We sent them) with Clear Signs and Books of dark prophecies; and We have sent down unto thee (also) the Message; that thou mayest explain clearly to men what is sent for them, and that they may give thought.
18:57 وَمَنْ
أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهَا وَنَسِيَ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْراً
وَإِن تَدْعُهُمْ إِلَى الْهُدَى فَلَن يَهْتَدُوا إِذاً أَبَداً
And who doth more wrong than one who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord, but turns away from them, forgetting the (deeds) which his hands have sent forth? Verily We have set veils over their hearts lest they should understand this, and over their ears, deafness, if thou callest them to guidance, even then will they never accept guidance.
20:2 مَا أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ لِتَشْقَى
We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress,
20:3 إِلَّا تَذْكِرَةً
لِّمَن يَخْشَى
But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),-
20:99 كَذَلِكَ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ أَنبَاء مَا قَدْ سَبَقَ وَقَدْ آتَيْنَاكَ مِن لَّدُنَّا
ذِكْراً
Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence.
20:124 وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن
ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكاً وَنَحْشُرُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
أَعْمَى
"But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment."
21:7 وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ
الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ
Before thee, also, the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: If ye realise this not, ask of those who possess the Message.
21:10 لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَاباً فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
We have revealed for you (O men!) a book in which is a Message for you: will ye not then understand?
21:48 وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَاء وَذِكْراً
لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the criterion (for judgment), and a Light and a Message for those who would do right,-
21:50 وَهَذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُ
مُنكِرُونَ
And this is a blessed Message which We have sent down: will ye then reject it?
21:84 فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِن ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ
وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَى لِلْعَابِدِينَ
So We listened to him: We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his people to him, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who serve Us.
21:105 وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ
يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ
Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): My servants the righteous, shall inherit the earth."
25:18 قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ مَا كَانَ
يَنبَغِي لَنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاء وَلَكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ
وَآبَاءهُمْ حَتَّى نَسُوا الذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا قَوْماً بُوراً
They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost."
25:29 لَقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءنِي
وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولاً
"He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!"
25:51 وَلَوْ شِئْنَا
لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَذِيراً
Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population.
36:11 إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ
مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكْرَ وَخَشِيَ الرَّحْمَن بِالْغَيْبِ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍ
وَأَجْرٍ كَرِيمٍ
Thou canst but admonish such a one as follows the Message and fears the (Lord) Most Gracious, unseen: give such a one, therefore, good tidings, of Forgiveness and a Reward most generous.
36:19 قَالُوا طَائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم
بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ مُّسْرِفُونَ
They said: "Your evil omens are with yourselves: (deem ye this an evil omen). If ye are admonished? Nay, but ye are a people transgressing all bounds!"
36:69 وَمَا عَلَّمْنَاهُ الشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنبَغِي لَهُ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْآنٌ مُّبِينٌ
We have not instructed the (Prophet) in Poetry, nor is it meet for him: this is no less than a Message and a Qur'an making things clear:
37:3 فَالتَّالِيَاتِ ذِكْراً
And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)!
37:13 وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا لَا يَذْكُرُونَ
And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,-
37:167 وَإِنْ كَانُوا لَيَقُولُونَ
And there were those who said,
37:168 لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْراً مِّنْ الْأَوَّلِينَ
"If only we had had before us a Message from those of old,
37:169 لَكُنَّا
عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
"We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!"
38:8 أَأُنزِلَ
عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ مِن بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِّن ذِكْرِي بَلْ لَمَّا يَذُوقُوا عَذَابِ
"What! has the Message been sent to him - (Of all persons) among us?"...but they are in doubt concerning My (Own) Message! Nay, they have not yet tasted My Punishment!
38:43 وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَذِكْرَى لِأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ
And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding.
38:49 هَذَا ذِكْرٌ
وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ
This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,-
38:87 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
"This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds.
39:21 أَلَمْ تَرَ
أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَسَلَكَهُ يَنَابِيعَ فِي الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ
يُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعاً مُّخْتَلِفاً أَلْوَانُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرّاً ثُمَّ
يَجْعَلُهُ حُطَاماً إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِأُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ
Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and leads it through springs in the earth? Then He causes to grow, therewith, produce of various colours: then it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then He makes it dry up and crumble away. Truly, in this, is a Message of remembrance to men of understanding.
40:53 وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى
الْهُدَى وَأَوْرَثْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ
We did aforetime give Moses the (Book of) Guidance, and We gave the book in inheritance to the Children of Israel,-
40:54 هُدًى
وَذِكْرَى لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ
A Guide and a Message to men of Understanding.
43:5 أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحاً
أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْماً مُّسْرِفِينَ
Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds?
43:44 وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَّكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ
وَسَوْفَ تُسْأَلُونَ
The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account.
44:13 أَنَّى لَهُمُ الذِّكْرَى وَقَدْ جَاءهُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّبِينٌ
How shall the message be (effectual) for them, seeing that an Messenger explaining things clearly has (already) come to them,-
47:18 فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا
السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً فَقَدْ جَاء أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّى لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءتْهُمْ
ذِكْرَاهُمْ
Do they then only wait for the Hour,- that it should come on them of a sudden? But already have come some tokens thereof, and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their admonition?
50:7 وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ
وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ
And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)-
50:8 تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ
مُّنِيبٍ
To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah).
50:37 إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَن كَانَ
لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ
Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth).
50:45 نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ
وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ
We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!
51:55 وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَى تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers.
52:29 فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ
رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ
Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.
54:25 أَأُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ
مِن بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ
"Is it that the Message is sent to him, of all people amongst us? Nay, he is a liar, an insolent one!"
56:73 نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعاً لِّلْمُقْوِينَ
We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts.
65:10 أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ عَذَاباً شَدِيداً فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُوْلِي الْأَلْبَابِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
قَدْ أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكُمْ ذِكْراً
Allah has prepared for them a severe Punishment (in the Hereafter). Therefore fear Allah, O ye men of understanding - who have believed!- for Allah hath indeed sent down to you a Message,-
68:51 وَإِن يَكَادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصَارِهِمْ
لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَيَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ
And the Unbelievers would almost trip thee up with their eyes when they hear the Message; and they say: "Surely he is possessed!"
68:52 وَمَا هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
But it is nothing less than a Message to all the worlds.
69:11 إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاء حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ
We, when the water (of Noah's Flood) overflowed beyond its limits, carried you (mankind), in the floating (Ark),
69:12 لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ
That We might make it a Message unto you, and that ears (that should hear the tale and) retain its memory should bear its (lessons) in remembrance.
69:48 وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ
لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ
But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing.
73:19 إِنَّ هَذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَمَن شَاء اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلاً
Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord!
74:31 وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً
لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيمَاناً
وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ
وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلاً كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَن يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي
مَن يَشَاءُ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ
And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind.
74:49 فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ
Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?-
74:54 كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ
Nay, this surely is an admonition:
74:55 فَمَن شَاء ذَكَرَهُ
Let any who will, keep it in remembrance!
76:29 إِنَّ هَذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ فَمَن شَاء اتَّخَذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلاً
This is an admonition: Whosoever will, let him take a (straight) Path to his Lord.
77:5 فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْراً
Then spread abroad a Message,
80:3 وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّى
But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?-
80:4 أَوْ
يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ الذِّكْرَى
Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him?
80:11 كَلَّا إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ
By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction:
81:27 إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds:
87:9 فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَى
Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer).
87:10 سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَى
The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah):
88:21 فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ
Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
