Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah then says,
فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا ﴿٤﴾
فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا ﴿٥﴾
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا ﴿٦﴾
The Fariqat that separate,
the Mulqiyat that remind,
excusing or warning.
meaning, the angels.
This was said by Ibn Mas`ud, Ibn `Abbas, Masruq, Mujahid, Qatadah, Ar-Rabi` bin Anas, As-Suddi and Ath-Thawri.
There is no difference of opinion here, because they (the angels) are the ones who descend with Allah's command to the Messengers, separating between the truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, and the lawful and the forbidden. They bring the revelation to the Messengers, which contain exemption or absolvement for the creatures and a warning for them of Allah's torment if they oppose His command.
تفسير ابن كثير
يعني الملائكة قاله ابن مسعود وابن عباس ومسروق ومجاهد وقتادة والربيع بن أنس والسدي والثوري ولا خلاف هاهنا فإنها تنزل بأمر الله على الرسل وتلقي إليهم وحيا .
تفسير الجلالين
"فالملقيات ذكرا" أي الملائكة تنزل بالوحي إلى الأنبياء والرسل يلقون الوحي إلى الأمم
تفسير القرطبي
الملائكة بإجماع ; أي تلقي كتب الله عز وجل إلى الأنبياء عليهم السلام ; قاله المهدوي . وقيل : هو جبريل وسمي باسم الجمع ; لأنه كان ينزل بها . وقيل : المراد الرسل يلقون إلى أممهم ما أنزل الله عليهم ; قاله قطرب . وقرأ ابن عباس " فالملقيات " بالتشديد مع فتح القاف ; وهو كقوله تعالى : " وإنك لتلقى القرآن " [ النمل : 6 ]
