11:67 وَأَخَذَ
الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُواْ فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
The (mighty) Blast overtook the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning,-
11:94 وَلَمَّا جَاء
أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا شُعَيْباً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مَّنَّا وَأَخَذَتِ
الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ الصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُواْ فِي دِيَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ
When Our decree issued, We saved Shu'aib and those who believed with him, by (special) mercy from Ourselves: But the (mighty) blast did seize the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning,-
15:73 فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ
But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning,
15:82 وَكَانُواْ يَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتاً آمِنِينَ
Out of the mountains did they hew (their) edifices, (feeling themselves) secure.
15:83 فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ
الصَّيْحَةُ مُصْبِحِينَ
But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning,
23:41 فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاء فَبُعْداً لِّلْقَوْمِ
الظَّالِمِينَ
Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong!
29:40 فَكُلّاً أَخَذْنَا بِذَنبِهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِباً
وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ
الْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ
وَلَكِن كَانُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.
36:29 إِن كَانَتْ إِلاَّ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ خَامِدُونَ
It was no more than a single mighty Blast, and behold! they were (like ashes) quenched and silent.
36:49 مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ
They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves!
36:53 إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً
وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ
It will be no more than a single Blast, when lo! they will all be brought up before Us!
37:19 فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see!
38:15 وَمَا يَنظُرُ هَؤُلَاء إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً مَّا لَهَا
مِن فَوَاقٍ
These (today) only wait for a single mighty Blast, which (when it comes) will brook no delay.
50:42 يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ
The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection.
51:44 فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ
But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on.
52:45 فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّى يُلَاقُوا
يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ
So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),-
54:31 إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ
صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ
For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle.
69:5 فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
But the Thamud,- they were destroyed by a terrible Storm of thunder and lightning!
69:13 فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ
نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ
Then, when one blast is sounded on the Trumpet,
79:6 يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ
One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion,
79:7 تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ
Followed by oft-repeated (commotions):
79:8 قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ
Hearts that Day will be in agitation;
79:9 أَبْصَارُهَا
خَاشِعَةٌ
Cast down will be (their owners') eyes.
79:13 فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ
وَاحِدَةٌ
But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry,
79:14 فَإِذَا هُم بِالسَّاهِرَةِ
When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment).
80:33 فَإِذَا جَاءتِ الصَّاخَّةُ
At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,-
