Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie. Recitation 0:00

ENTafsir Ibn Kathir
أَلا إِنَّ لِلّهِ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَات وَمَن فِي الأَرْضِ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ شُرَكَاء إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾
Behold! Verily, to Allah belongs whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth. And those who worship and invoke others besides Allah, in fact they follow not the partners, they follow only a conjecture and they do nothing but lie.
Allah stated that to Him is the dominion of the heavens and earth. But the idolators worship idols, that own nothing and can neither harm nor benefit anyone. They have no evidence to base their worship on them. They only follow their own conjecture, lies, and ultimately - falsehood.
ARتفسير ابن كثير
ثم أخبر تعالى أن له ملك السموات والأرض وأن المشركين يعبدون الأصنام وهي لا تملك شيئا لا ضرا ولا نفعا ولا دليل لهم على عبادتها بل إنما يتبعون في ذلك ظنونهم وتخرصهم وكذبهم وإفكهم .

"ألا إن لله من في السماوات ومن في الأرض" عبيدا وملكا وخلقا "وما يتبع الذين يدعون" يعبدون "من دون الله" أي غيره أصناما "شركاء" له على الحقيقة تعالى عن ذلك "إن" ما "يتبعون" في ذلك "إلا الظن" أي ظنهم أنها آلهة تشفع لهم "وإن" ما "هم إلا يخرصون" يكذبون في ذلك

أي يحكم فيهم بما يريد ويفعل فيهم ما يشاء سبحانه ! .
