وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ ﴿١٨﴾
And urge not one another on the feeding of the Miskin!
meaning, they do not command that the poor and the needy be treated with kindness, nor do they encourage each other to do so.

يعني لا يأمرون بالإحسان إلى الفقراء والمساكين ويحث بعضهم على بعض في ذلك .

" ولا تحاضون " أنفسهم أو غيرهم " على طعام " أي إطعام " المسكين "
ARتفسير القرطبي
أي لا يأمرون أهليهم بإطعام مسكين يجيئهم . وقرأ الكوفيون " ولا تحاضون " بفتح التاء والحاء والألف . أي يحض بعضهم بعضا . وأصله تتحاضون , فحذف إحدى التاءين لدلالة الكلام عليها . وهو اختيار أبي عبيد . وروي عن إبراهيم والشيزري عن الكسائي والسلمي " تحاضون " بضم التاء , وهو تفاعلون من الحض , وهو الحث .
