وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَى
Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo hum athlama waatgha

And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors,

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ ...
And the people of Nuh aforetime.
before `Ad and Thamud,
... إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَى ﴿٥٢﴾
Verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing.
more unjust in disobeying Allah than those who came after them,
تفسير ابن كثير
" وقوم نوح من قبل " أي من قبل هؤلاء " إنهم كانوا هم أظلم وأطغى " أي أشد تمردا من الذين من بعدهم .
تفسير الجلالين
"وقوم نوح من قبل" أي قبل عاد وثمود أهلكناهم "إنهم كانوا هم أظلم وأطغى" من عاد وثمود لطول لبث نوح فيهم "فلبث فيهم ألف سنة إلا خمسين عاما" وهم مع عدم إيمانهم به يؤذونه ويضربونه

إعراب — grammatical analysis
«وَقَوْمَ» معطوف على ثمود «نُوحٍ» مضاف إليه «مِنْ قَبْلُ» متعلقان بفعل تقديره أهلك «إِنَّهُمْ كانُوا» إن واسمها وكان واسمها وهم ضمير فصل «أَظْلَمَ» خبر وجملة كانوا .. خبر إن وجملة إنهم .. تعليل «وَأَطْغى » معطوف على أظلم
