حَتَّى إِذَا جَاؤُوا قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِآيَاتِي وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا بِهَا عِلْماً أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Hatta itha jaoo qala akaththabtum biayatee walam tuheetoo biha AAilman ammatha kuntum taAAmaloona

Until, when they come (before the Judgment-seat), (Allah) will say: "Did ye reject My Signs, though ye comprehended them not in knowledge, or what was it ye did?"

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
حَتَّى إِذَا جَاؤُوا ...
Till, when they come,
and stand before Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, in the place of reckoning,
... قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِآيَاتِي وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا بِهَا عِلْمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٨٤﴾
He will say: "Did you deny My Ayat whereas you comprehended them not by knowledge, or what was it that you used to do!''
meaning they will be asked about their beliefs and their deeds. Since they are among the doomed and, as Allah says:
فَلاَ صَدَّقَ وَلاَ صَلَّى
وَلَـكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى
He neither believed nor performed Salah! But on the contrary, he denied and turned away! (75:31-32)
Then the proof will be established against them and they will have no excuse whatsoever, as Allah says:
هَـذَا يَوْمُ لاَ يَنطِقُونَ
وَلاَ يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
That will be a Day when they shall not speak. And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. (77:35-36)
Similarly, Allah says here:
تفسير ابن كثير
" حتى إذا جاءوا" ووقفوا بين يدي الله عز وجل في مقام المساءلة" قال أكذبتم بآياتي ولم تحيطوا بها علما أم ماذا كنتم تعملون " أي فيسئلون عن اعتقادهم وأعمالهم فلما لم يكونوا من أهل السعادة وكانوا كما قال الله عنهم " فلا صدق ولا صلى ولكن كذب وتولى " فحينئذ قامت عليهم الحجة ولم يكن لهم عذر يعتذرون به كما قال الله تعالى" هذا يوم لا ينطقون ولا يؤذن لهم فيعتذرون" الآية .
تفسير الجلالين
"حتى إذا جاءوا" مكان الحساب "قال" تعالى لهم "أكذبتم" أنبيائي "بآياتي ولم تحيطوا" من جهة تكذيبكم "بها علما أما" فيه إدغام ما الاستفهامية "ذا" موصول أي ما الذي "كنتم تعملون" مما أمرتم به

«حَتَّى» حرف غاية وجر «إِذا جاؤُ» ظرفية شرطية غير جازمة وماض وفاعله ، والجملة في محل جر بالإضافة. «قالَ» ماض فاعله مستتر والجملة جواب شرط غير جازم لا محل لها «أَكَذَّبْتُمْ» الهمزة حرف استفهام توبيخي وماض وفاعله «بِآياتِي» متعلقان بالفعل والجملة مقول القول «وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا» الواو حالية ومضارع مجزوم بلم والواو فاعله «بِها» متعلقان بالفعل «عِلْماً» مفعول به والجملة حال. «أم» حرف إضراب وانتقال «ما» مبتدأ «ذا» خبر والجملة الاسمية مستأنفة «كُنْتُمْ» كان واسمها «تَعْمَلُونَ» مضارع مرفوع بثبوت النون والواو فاعله والجملة الفعلية خبر كنتم وجملة كنتم .. صلة الموصول لا محل لها
