Tafsir Ibn Kathir
The Guests of Ibrahim and their Good News of a Son for Him
Allah says:
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ...
And tell them about,
Allah is saying: `Tell them, O Muhammad, about the story of,
... ضَيْفِ إِبْراَهِيمَ ﴿٥١﴾
إِذْ ....
the guests of Ibrahim. When,
... دَخَلُواْ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ ﴿٥٢﴾
they entered upon him, and said: "Salaman (peace!).''
He said: "Indeed we are frightened of you.''
meaning that they were scared. The reason for their fear has been mentioned previously, which is that they noticed that these guests did not eat of the food that was offered, which was a fattened calf.
تفسير ابن كثير
وكيف دخلوا عليه فقالوا سلاما " قال إنا منكم وجلون " أي خائفون وقد ذكر سبب خوفه منهم لما رأى أيديهم لا تصل إلى ما قربه إليهم من الضيافة وهو العجل السمين الحنيذ .

"إذ دخلوا عليه فقالوا سلاما" أي هذا اللفظ "قال" إبراهيم لما عرض عليهم الأكل فلم يأكلوا "إنا منكم وجلون" خائفون
تفسير القرطبي
جمع الخبر لأن الضيف اسم يصلح للواحد والجمع والتثنية والمذكر والمؤنث كالمصدر . ضافه وأضافه أماله ; ومنه الحديث ( حين تضيف الشمس للغروب ) , وضيفوفة السهم , والإضافة النحوية .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«إِذْ» ظرف زمان متعلق بنبئهم.
«دَخَلُوا» ماض وفاعله والجملة مضاف إليه.
«عَلَيْهِ» متعلقان بدخلوا.
«فَقالُوا سَلاماً» الفاء عاطفة ماض وفاعله والجملة معطوفة وسلاما مفعول مطلق لفعل محذوف تقديره سلم سلاما.
«قالَ» ماض فاعله مستتر والجملة مستأنفة.
«إِنَّا مِنْكُمْ وَجِلُونَ» إن واسمها وخبرها ومنكم متعلقان بوجلون والجملة مقول القول.
