Tafsir Ibn Kathir
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ ﴿٤٢﴾
قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ ﴿٤٣﴾
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ ﴿٤٤﴾
"What has caused you to enter Hell''
They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer the Salah, nor did we feed the poor.''
meaning, `we did not worship Allah, nor did we do good to His creatures of our own species (i.e., other people).'

أي ما عبدنا ربنا.

" قالوا " يعني أهل النار " لم نك من المصلين " أي المؤمنين الذين يصلون .

«قالُوا» ماض وفاعله والجملة مستأنفة لا محل لها و«لَمْ نَكُ» مضارع ناقص مجزوم بلم وعلامة جزمه السكون على النون المحذوفة للتخفيف واسمه مستتر و«مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ» خبر نك والجملة الفعلية مقول القول
