Tafsir Ibn Kathir
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا ﴿١٩﴾
And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse.
meaning, He spread it out, leveled it, settled it, and stabilized it with firm and lofty mountains.

أي بسطها ومهدها وقررها وثبتها بالجبال الراسيات الشم الشامخات.
