Qur'an 54:29

فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَى فَعَقَرَ

Fanadaw sahibahum fataAAata faAAaqara

But they called to their companion, and he took a sword in hand, and hamstrung (her).

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah the Exalted said; فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَى فَعَقَرَ ﴿٢٩﴾ But they called their comrade and he took and killed. According to the Scholars of Tafsir, his name was Qudar bin Salif; he was the evilest among them, إِذِ انبَعَثَ أَشْقَـهَا When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel). (91:12) Allah said here, فَتَعَاطَى (and he took), meaning to harm,
تفسير ابن كثير
قال المفسرون هو عاقر الناقة واسمه قدار بن سالف وكان أشقى قومه كقوله " إذ انبعث أشقاها " " فتعاطى " أي حسر.
تفسير الجلالين
"فنادوا صاحبهم" قدارا ليقتلها "فتعاطى" تناول السيف "فعقر" به الناقة أي قتلها موافقة لهم
