وَالسَّمَاء بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
Waalssamaa banaynaha biaydin wainna lamoosiAAoona

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Proofs of Allah's Oneness abound in the Creation of the Heavens and the Earth
Allah reminds us of the creating of the higher and lower worlds,
وَالسَّمَاء بَنَيْنَاهَا ...
We constructed the heaven.
meaning, `We made it as a high roof, protected from falling,'
... بِأَيْدٍ ...
with Hands,
meaning, with strength, according to Abdullah bin Abbas, Mujahid, Qatadah, Ath-Thawri and several others,
... وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾
Verily, We are able to extend the vastness of space thereof.
means, `We made it vast and We brought its roof higher without pillars to support it, and thus it is hanging independently.'
تفسير ابن كثير
يقول تعالى منبها على خلق العالم العلوي والسفلي" والسماء بنيناها " أي جعلناها سقفا محفوظا رفيعا " بأيد " أي بقوة قاله ابن عباس ومجاهد وقتادة والثوري وغير واحد " وإنا لموسعون " أي قد وسعنا أرجاءها ورفعناها بغير عمد حتى استقلت كما هي .
تفسير الجلالين
"والسماء بنيناها بأيد" بقوة "وإنا لموسعون" قادرون يقال : آد الرجل يئيد قوي وأوسع الرجل : صار ذا سعة وقوة
تفسير القرطبي
لما بين هذه الآيات قال : وفي السماء آيات وعبر تدل على أن الصانع قادر على الكمال , فعطف أمر السماء على قصة قوم نوح لأنهما آيتان . ومعنى " بأيد " أي بقوة وقدرة . عن ابن عباس وغيره .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«وَالسَّماءَ» الواو حرف استئناف والسماء منصوب على الاشتغال تقديره بنينا السماء والجملة الفعلية مستأنفة.
«بَنَيْناها» ماض وفاعله ومفعوله.
«بِأَيْدٍ» متعلقان بالفعل والجملة مفسرة للجملة المقدرة لا محل لها.
«وَإِنَّا» الواو حالية وإن واسمها.
«لَمُوسِعُونَ» اللام المزحلقة وخبر إن والجملة الاسمية حال.
