وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Walaqad oohiya ilayka waila allatheena min qablika lain ashrakta layahbatanna AAamaluka walatakoonanna mina alkhasireena

But it has already been revealed to thee,- as it was to those before thee,- "If thou wert to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be thy work (in life), and thou wilt surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)".

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ
وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ ﴿٦٥﴾
Say: "Do you order me to worship other than Allah O you fools!'' And indeed it has been revealed to you, as it was to those before you: "If you join others in worship with Allah, surely your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers.''
This is like the Ayah:
وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُواْ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُمْ مَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ
But if they had joined in worship others with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them. (6:88)

وهذه كقوله تعالى " ولو أشركوا لحبط عنهم ما كانوا يعملون " .
تفسير الجلالين
"ولقد أوحي إليك وإلى الذين من قبلك" والله "لئن أشركت" يا محمد فرضا
تفسير القرطبي
قيل : إن في الكلام تقديما وتأخيرا ; والتقدير : لقد أوحي إليك لئن أشركت وأوحي إلى الذين من قبلك كذلك . وقيل : هو على بابه ; قال مقاتل : أي أوحي إليك وإلى الأنبياء قبلك بالتوحيد والتوحيد محذوف . ثم قال : " لئن أشركت " يا محمد : ليحبطن عملك .
