فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَنبَاء يَوْمَئِذٍ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَاءلُونَ
FaAAamiyat AAalayhimu alanbao yawmaithin fahum la yatasaaloona

Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah says:
فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَنبَاء يَوْمَئِذٍ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَاءلُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾
Then the news of a good answer will be obscured to them on that Day, and they will not be able to ask one another.
Mujahid said:
"The proof will be obscured from them,''
so they will not be able to ask one another for help by virtue of their blood ties.
تفسير ابن كثير
قال تعالى : " فعميت عليهم الأنباء يومئذ فهم لا يتساءلون " قال مجاهد فعميت عليهم الحجج فهم لا يتساءلون بالأنساب .
تفسير الجلالين
"فعميت عليهم الأنباء" الأخبار المنجية في الجواب "يومئذ" لم يجدوا خبرا لهم فيه نجاة "فهم لا يتساءلون" فهم لا يتساءلون عنه فيسكتون .
تفسير القرطبي
أي خفيت عليهم الحجج ; قاله مجاهد ; لأن الله قد أعذر إليهم في الدنيا فلا يكون لهم عذر ولا حجة يوم القيامة و " الأنباء " الأخبار ; سمى حججهم أنباء لأنها أخبار يخبرونها
