قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
His People's Threat, Nuh's Prayer against Them, and Their Destruction
Nuh stayed among his people for a long time, calling them to Allah night and day, in secret and openly. The more he repeated his call to them, the more determined were they to cling to their extreme disbelief and resist his call. In the end, they said:
قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ ﴿١١٦﴾
They said: If you cease not, O Nuh you will surely be among those stoned.
meaning, `if you do not stop calling us to your religion,'
لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ (you will surely be among those stoned),
meaning, `we will stone you.'
At that point, he prayed against them, and Allah responded to his prayer.
تفسير ابن كثير
لما طال مقام نبي الله بين أظهرهم يدعوهم إلى الله تعالى ليلا ونهارا وسرا وجهارا وكلما كرر عليهم الدعوة صمموا على الكفر الغليظ والامتناع الشديد وقالوا في الآخر " لئن لم تنته يا نوح لتكونن من المرجومين " أي لئن لم تنته عن دعوتك إيانا إلى دينك " لتكونن من المرجومين " أي لأرجمنك فعند ذلك دعا عليهم دعوة استجاب الله منه.

«قالُوا» الجملة مستأنفة «لَئِنْ» اللام موطئة للقسم وإن شرطية «لَمْ» جازمة «تَنْتَهِ» مضارع مجزوم وفاعله مستتر والجملة مقول القول «يا نُوحُ» منادى بيا مبني على الضم في محل نصب والجملة معترضة «لَتَكُونَنَّ» اللام واقعة في جواب القسم وتكون مضارع ناقص واسمه محذوف «مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ» متعلقان بخبر تكون وجملة جواب القسم لا محل لها
