قَالَ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَـهاً وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
Qala aghayra Allahi abgheekum ilahan wahuwa faddalakum AAala alAAalameena

He said: "Shall I seek for you a god other than the (true) Allah, when it is Allah Who hath endowed you with gifts above the nations?"

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Reminding the Children of Israel of Allah's Blessings for Them
Allah tells;
قَالَ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَـهًا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٤٠﴾
وَإِذْ أَنجَيْنَاكُم مِّنْ آلِ فِرْعَونَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوَءَ الْعَذَابِ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَاءكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءكُمْ وَفِي ذَلِكُم بَلاء مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ ﴿١٤١﴾
He said: "Shall I seek for you an ilah (a god) other than Allah, while He has given you superiority over the nations.''
And (remember) when We rescued you from Fir`awn's people, who were afflicting you with the worst torment, killing your sons and letting your women live. And in that was a great trial from your Lord.
Musa reminded the Children of Israel of Allah's blessings, such as saving them from Fir`awn, his tyranny and the humiliation and disgrace they suffered. He reminded them of the glory and revenge against their enemy, when they watched them suffering in disgrace, destroyed by drowning and meeting utter demise. We mentioned this subject in the Tafsir of Surah Al-Baqarah.
تفسير ابن كثير
يذكرهم موسى عليه السلام نعم الله عليهم من إنقاذهم من أسر فرعون وقهره وما كانوا فيه من الهوان والذلة وما صاروا إليه من العزة والاشتفاء من عدوهم والنظر إليه في حال هوانه وهلاكه وغرقه ودماره وقد تقدم تفسيرها في البقرة.
تفسير الجلالين
"قال أغير الله أبغيكم إلها" معبودا وأصله أبغي لكم "وهو فضلكم على العالمين" في زمانكم بما ذكره في قوله
تفسير القرطبي
أي أطلب لكم إلها غير الله تعالى . يقال : بغيته وبغيت له .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«قالَ» الجملة استئنافية.
«أَغَيْرَ» مفعول به مقدم ، والهمزة للاستفهام.
«اللَّهِ» لفظ الجلالة مضاف إليه مجرور.
«أَبْغِيكُمْ» فعل مضارع مرفوع وعلامة رفعه الضمة المقدرة على الياء للثقل. والكاف مجرورة بنزع الخافض. أبغي لكم.
«إِلهاً» تمييز. والجملة مقول القول. «وَهُوَ» ضمير منفصل في محل رفع مبتدأ, الواو حالية.
«فَضَّلَكُمْ» فعل ماض متعلق به الجار والمجرور والفاعل هو «عَلَى الْعالَمِينَ». والكاف مفعوله والجملة الفعلية في محل رفع خبر المبتدأ. والجملة الاسمية وهو فضلكم في محل نصب حال.
