وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ
Wanahnu aqrabu ilayhi minkum walakin la tubsiroona

But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ ...
But We are nearer to him than you,
with Our angels,
... وَلَكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿٨٥﴾
but you see not.
you cannot see the angels.
Allah the Exalted said in another Ayah,
وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُم حَفَظَةً حَتَّى إِذَا جَآءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يُفَرِّطُونَ
ثُمَّ رُدُّواْ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلَـهُمُ الْحَقِّ أَلاَ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَـسِبِينَ
He is the Irresistible over His servants, and He sends guardians (angels) over you, until when death approaches one of you, Our messengers (angel of death and his assistants) take his soul, and they never neglect their duty.
Then they are returned to Allah, their true Protector. Surely, for Him is the judgement and He is the swiftest in taking account. (6:61-62)
تفسير ابن كثير
" ونحن أقرب إليه منكم " أي بملائكتنا " ولكن لا تبصرون " أي ولكن لا ترونهم كما قال تعالى في الآية الأخرى " وهو القاهر فوق عباده ويرسل عليكم حفظة حتى إذا جاء أحدكم الموت توفته رسلنا وهم لا يفرطون ثم ردوا إلى الله مولاهم الحق ألا له الحكم وهو أسرع الحاسبين " .
تفسير الجلالين
"ونحن أقرب إليه منكم" بالعلم "ولكن لا تبصرون" من البصيرة أي لا تعلمون ذلك
تفسير القرطبي
أي بالقدرة والعلم والرؤية . قال عامر بن عبد القيس : ما نظر إلى شيء إلا رأيت الله تعالى أقرب إلي منه . وقيل أراد ورسلنا الذين يتولون قبضه " أقرب إليه منكم "
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ» الواو حالية ومبتدأ وخبره والجملة حال «إِلَيْهِ» متعلقان بأقرب «مِنْكُمْ» متعلقان بأقرب «وَلكِنْ» الواو حرف عطف ولكن مخففة مهملة «لا» نافية «تُبْصِرُونَ» مضارع مرفوع والواو فاعله والجملة معطوفة على ما قبلها.
