وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ
Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakum fahal min muddakirin

And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition?

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah said,
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ ...
And indeed, We have destroyed your likes,
i.e. the earlier nations who denied their Messengers,
... فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ﴿٥١﴾
then is there any that will remember!
meaning, is there any that will receive admonition by remembering the humiliation and torment that Allah decreed for them?
وَحِيلَ بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَ مَا يَشْتَهُونَ كَمَا فُعِلَ بِأَشْيَـعِهِم مِّن قَبْلُ
And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire, as was done in the past with the people of their kind. (34:54)
تفسير ابن كثير
يعني أمثالكم وسلفكم من الأمم السابقة المكذبين بالرسل " فهل من مدكر " أي فهل من متعظ بما أخزى الله أولئك وقدر لهم من العذاب كما قال تعالى " وحيل بينهم وبين ما يشتهون كما فعل بأشياعهم من قبل " .
تفسير الجلالين
"ولقد أهلكنا أشياعكم" أشباهكم في الكفر من الأمم الماضية "فهل من مدكر" استفهام بمعنى الأمر أي اذكروا واتعظوا
تفسير القرطبي
أي أشباهكم في الكفر من الأمم الخالية . وقيل : أتباعكم وأعوانكم .

«وَلَقَدْ» سبق إعرابها «أَهْلَكْنا أَشْياعَكُمْ» ماض وفاعله ومفعوله والجملة جواب القسم لا محل لها «فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ» : انظر - 16 - الآية.
