وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدْعُو مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَن لَّا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ إِلَى يَومِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُمْ عَن دُعَائِهِمْ غَافِلُونَ
Waman adallu mimman yadAAoo min dooni Allahi man la yastajeebu lahu ila yawmi alqiyamati wahum AAan duAAaihim ghafiloona

And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allah, such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call (to them)?

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah then says,
وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّن يَدْعُو مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَن لَّا يَسْتَجِيبُ لَهُ إِلَى يَومِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُمْ عَن دُعَائِهِمْ غَافِلُونَ ﴿٥﴾
And who is more astray than those who invokes besides Allah others who will not answer them until the Day of Resurrection, and who are unaware of their invocations to them!
meaning, no one is more misguided than those who invoke idols instead of Allah, asking them for things that they cannot give -- until the Day of Judgment. They (the idols) are unaware of what he asks, they can neither hear, see, or act. This is because they are inanimate, senseless stones.
تفسير ابن كثير
وقوله تبارك وتعالى " ومن أضل ممن يدعو من دون الله من لا يستجيب له إلى يوم القيامة وهم عن دعائهم غافلون " أي لا أضل ممن يدعو من دون الله أصناما ويطلب منها ما لا تستطيعه إلى يوم القيامة وهي غافلة عما يقول لا تسمع ولا تبصر ولا تبطش لأنها جماد حجارة صم .
تفسير الجلالين
"ومن" استفهام بمعنى النفي أي لا أحد "أضل ممن يدعو" يعبد "من دون الله" أي غيره "من لا يستجيب له إلى يوم القيامة" وهم الأصنام لا يجيبون عابديهم إلى شيء يسألونه أبدا "وهم عن دعائهم" عبادتهم "غافلون" لأنهم جماد لا يعقلون

أي لا أحد أضل وأجهل
