كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَاهُمْ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ
Kaththaba allatheena min qablihim faatahumu alAAathabu min haythu la yashAAuroona

Those before them (also) rejected (revelation), and so the Punishment came to them from directions they did not perceive.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah's statement,
كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَأَتَاهُمْ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿٢٥﴾
Those before them denied, and so the torment came on them from directions they perceived not.
means, the previous generations who denied the Messengers were destroyed by Allah for their sins. And none had they to protect them from Allah.
تفسير ابن كثير
يعني القرون الماضية المكذبة للرسل أهلكهم الله بذنوبهم وما كان لهم من الله من واق .
تفسير الجلالين
"كذب الذين من قبلهم" رسلهم في إتيان العذاب "فأتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون" من جهة لا تخطر ببالهم
تفسير القرطبي
أي كذب قبلهم أقوام كانوا أشد من هؤلاء بطشا وأكثر أموالا وأولادا وأوسع عيشا , فأهلكتهم كثمود وعاد .
