وَإِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ مَّا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلَّا غُرُوراً
Waith yaqoolu almunafiqoona waallatheena fee quloobihim maradun ma waAAadana Allahu warasooluhu illa ghurooran

And behold! The Hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease (even) say: "Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion!"

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
وَإِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ مَّا وَعَدَنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا ﴿١٢﴾
And when the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease said: "Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion!''
Their hypocrisy became apparent, while the one in whose heart was doubt became weak, and he expressed the ideas that were in his heart because of the weakness of his faith and the difficulty of the situation. And other people said, as Allah tells us:
تفسير ابن كثير
" وإذ يقول المنافقون والذين في قلوبهم مرض ما وعدنا الله ورسوله إلا غرورا " أما المنافق فنجم نفاقه والذي في قلبه شبهة أو حسكة لضعف حاله فتنفس بما يجده من الوسواس في نفسه لضعف إيمانه وشدة ما هو فيه من ضيق الحال .

"و" اذكر "إذ يقول المنافقون والذين في قلوبهم مرض" ضعف اعتقاد "ما وعدنا الله ورسوله" بالنصر "إلا غرورا" باطلا
