فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ
Falamma ahassoo basana itha hum minha yarkudoona

Yet, when they felt Our Punishment (coming), behold, they (tried to) flee from it.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا ...
Then, when they sensed Our torment,
when they realized that the torment would undoubtedly come upon them, just as their Prophet had warned them,
... إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ ﴿١٢﴾
behold, they (tried to) flee from it.
they tried to run away.
تفسير ابن كثير
" فلما أحسوا بأسنا " أي تيقنوا أن العذاب واقع بهم لا محالة كما وعدهم نبيهم " إذا هم منها يركضون" أي يفرون هاربين .
تفسير الجلالين
"فلما أحسوا بأسنا" شعر أهل القرية بالإهلاك "إذا هم منها يركضون" يهربون مسرعين
تفسير القرطبي
أي رأوا عذابنا ; يقال : أحسست منه ضعفا . وقال الأخفش : " أحسوا " خافوا وتوقعوا .
