وَلَمَّا جَاء أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُوداً وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ
Walamma jaa amruna najjayna hoodan waallatheena amanoo maAAahu birahmatin minna wanajjaynahum min AAathabin ghaleethin

So when Our decree issued, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves: We saved them from a severe penalty.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
The Destruction of the People of `Ad and the Salvation of Those among Them Who believed
Allah tells;
وَلَمَّا جَاء أَمْرُنَا ...
And when Our commandment came,
This is referring to the barren wind with which Allah destroyed them, to the very last of them.
... نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِّنَّا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ ﴿٥٨﴾
We saved Hud and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us, and We saved them from a severe torment.
The mercy and kindness of Allah, the Exalted saved Hud and his followers from this terrible punishment.
تفسير ابن كثير
" ولما جاء أمرنا " وهو الريح العقيم فأهلكهم الله عن آخرهم ونجى هودا وأتباعه من عذاب غليظ برحمته تعالى ولطفه .
تفسير الجلالين
"ولما جاء أمرنا" عذابنا "نجينا هودا والذين آمنوا معه برحمة" هداية "منا ونجيناهم من عذاب غليظ" شديد
تفسير القرطبي
أي عذابنا بهلاك عاد .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«وَلَمَّا» الواو استئنافية ولما الحينية ظرف زمان وهي أداة شرط غير جازمة.
«جاءَ أَمْرُنا» ماض وفاعله ونا مضاف إليه والجملة في محل جر مضاف إليه.
«نَجَّيْنا هُوداً» ماض وفاعله ومفعوله والجملة لا محل لها لأنها جواب شرط غير جازم.
«وَالَّذِينَ» اسم موصول معطوف على هودا.
«آمَنُوا» ماض وفاعله.
«مَعَهُ» متعلقان بآمنوا والجملة صلة.
«بِرَحْمَةٍ» متعلقان بنجينا.
