ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم مُّوسَى وَهَارُونَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ بِآيَاتِنَا فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْماً مُّجْرِمِينَ
Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosa waharoona ila firAAawna wamalaihi biayatina faistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeena

Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
The Story of Musa and Fir`awn
Allah said:
ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِم ...
Then after them We sent
meaning after these Messengers,
... مُّوسَى وَهَارُونَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ ...
Musa and Harun to Fir`awn and his chiefs,
meaning his people
... بِآيَاتِنَا ...
with Our Ayat.
meaning; `Our proofs and evidences.'
... فَاسْتَكْبَرُواْ وَكَانُواْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ ﴿٧٥﴾
But they behaved arrogantly, and were a people who were criminals.
meaning they were too arrogant to follow the truth and submit to it, and they were criminals.
تفسير ابن كثير
يقول تعالى " ثم بعثنا " من بعد تلك الرسل " موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه " أي قومه " بآياتنا " أي حججنا وبراهيننا " فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين " أي استكبروا عن اتباع الحق والانقياد له وكانوا قوما مجرمين .

"ثم بعثنا من بعده موسى وهارون إلى فرعون وملئه" قومه "بآياتنا" التسع "فاستكبروا" عن الإيمان بها

أي من بعد الرسل والأمم .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«ثُمَّ» عاطفة.
«بَعَثْنا» ماض وفاعله والجملة معطوفة.
«مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ» متعلقان ببعثنا والهاء مضاف إليه.
«مُوسى » مفعول به منصوب.
«وَهارُونَ» معطوف على موسى.
«إِلى فِرْعَوْنَ» متعلقان ببعثنا.
«وَمَلَائِهِ» معطوف على فرعون.
«بِآياتِنا» متعلقان بمحذوف حال.

«وَكانُوا» الواو عاطفة ، وكان اسمها والجملة معطوفة.
