وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ
Waasirroo qawlakum awi ijharoo bihi innahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts.

Occasion of revelation
(And keep your opinion secret or proclaim itﾅ) [67:13]. Said Ibn Abbas: ﾓThis was revealed about the idolaters who used to slander the Messenger of Allah, Allah bless him and give him peace. Gabriel, peace be upon him, informed him about what they said about him and the things with which they slandered him. Some of them used to say to others: Lower your voices lest Muhammadﾒs Allah hears youﾒ ﾔ.
Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Then He says, while informing that He is aware of the innermost conscience and secrets,
وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ ﴿١٣﴾
And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts.
meaning, that which occurs in the hearts (ideas, thoughts, etc.).
تفسير ابن كثير
ثم قال تعالى منبها على أنه مطلع على الضمائر والسرائر " وأسروا قولكم أو اجهروا به إنه عليم بذات الصدور " أي بما يخطر في القلوب.

"وأسروا" أيها الناس "قولكم أو اجهروا به إنه" تعالى "عليم بذات الصدور" بما فيها فكيف بما نطقتم به وسبب نزول ذلك أن المشركين قال بعضهم لبعض : أسروا قولكم لا يسمعكم إله محمد
تفسير القرطبي
اللفظ لفظ الأمر والمراد به الخبر ; يعني إن أخفيتم كلامكم في أمر محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم أو جهرتم به ف " إنه عليم بذات الصدور " يعني بما في القلوب من الخير والشر . ابن عباس : نزلت في المشركين كانوا ينالون من النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فيخبره جبريل عليه السلام ; فقال بعضهم لبعض : أسروا قولكم كي لا يسمع رب محمد ; فنزلت : " وأسروا قولكم أو اجهروا به " . يعني : أسروا قولكم في أمر محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم . وقيل في سائر الأقوال . أو اجهروا به ; أعلنوه .

«وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ» أمر وفاعله ومفعوله والجملة استئنافية لا محل لها «أَوِ» عاطفة «اجْهَرُوا» معطوف على أسروا «بِهِ» متعلقان بالفعل «إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ» إن واسمها وخبرها والجملة الاسمية تعليلية لا محل لها «بِذاتِ» متعلقان بعليم «الصُّدُورِ» مضاف إليه
