وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Waitha tutla AAalayhim ayatuna bayyinatin ma kana hujjatahum illa an qaloo itoo biabaina in kuntum sadiqeena

And when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them their argument is nothing but this: They say, "Bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!"

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah's statement,
وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ ...
And when Our Clear Ayat are recited to them,
means, when the truth is made plain to them and used as evidence against them, asserting that Allah is able to resurrect the bodies after they have perished and disintegrated,
... مَّا كَانَ حُجَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا أَن قَالُوا ائْتُوا بِآبَائِنَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ﴿٢٥﴾
their argument is no other than that they say: "Bring back our fathers, if you are truthful!''
`bring them back to life, if what you say is true.'
تفسير ابن كثير
وقوله تعالى وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا بينات أي إذا استدل عليهم وبين لهم الحق وأن الله تعالى قادر على إعادة الأبدان بعد فنائها وتفرقها ما كان حجتهم إلا أن قالوا ائتوا بآبائنا إن كنتم صادقين أي أحيوهم إن كان ما تقولونه حقا .

"وإذا تتلى عليهم آياتنا" من القرآن الدالة على قدرتنا على البعث "بينات" واضحات حال "ما كان حجتهم إلا أن قالوا ائتوا بآبائنا" أحياء "إن كنتم صادقين" أنا نبعث
تفسير القرطبي
أي وإذ تقرأ على هؤلاء المشركين آياتنا المنزلة في جواز البعث لم يكن ثم دفع " ما كان حجتهم إلا أن قالوا ائتوا بآبائنا إن كنتم صادقين " " حجتهم " خبر كان والاسم " إلا أن قالوا ائتوا بآبائنا " الموتى نسألهم عن صدق ما تقولون .

«فَغَفَرْنا» الفاء حرف استئناف وماض وفاعله والجملة استئنافية لا محل لها «لَهُ» متعلقان بغفرنا «ذلِكَ» اسم إشارة مفعول به «وَإِنَّ» الواو حالية وحرف مشبه بالفعل «لَهُ» خبر إن المقدم «عِنْدَنا» ظرف متعلق بمحذوف حال «لَزُلْفى » اللام المزحلقة واسم إن المؤخر «وَحُسْنَ» عطف على زلفى «مَآبٍ» مضاف إليه
