وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ
Walaqad atayna banee israeela alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati wafaddalnahum AAala alAAalameena

We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Preference of Allah to the Children of Israel and their dispute thereafter
Allah the Exalted mentions the favors He granted the Children of Israel, such as revealing the Divine Books to them, sending the Messengers to them and granting them kingship.
Allah said,
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ ...
And indeed We gave the Children of Israel the Scripture, and the understanding of the Scripture and its laws, and the Prophethood; and provided them with good things,
such as foods and drinks,
... وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿١٦﴾
and preferred them above the nations. (of their time),
تفسير ابن كثير
يذكر تعالى ما أنعم به على بني إسرائيل من إنزال الكتب عليهم وإرسال الرسل إليهم وجعله الملك فيه ولهذا قال تبارك وتعالى ولقد آتينا بني إسرائيل الكتاب والحكم والنبوة ورزقناهم من الطيبات أي من المآكل والمشارب وفضلناهم على العالمين أي في زمانهم .
تفسير الجلالين
"ولقد آتينا بني إسرائيل الكتاب" التوراة "والحكم" به بين الناس "والنبوة" لموسى وهارون منهم "ورزقناهم من الطيبات" الحلالات كالمن والسلوى "وفضلناهم على العالمين" عالمي زمانهم العقلاء
