فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ صَاعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ
Fain aAAradoo fuqul anthartukum saAAiqatan mithla saAAiqati AAadin wathamooda

But if they turn away, say thou: "I have warned you of a stunning Punishment (as of thunder and lightning) like that which (overtook) the 'Ad and the Thamud!"

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
A Warning to the Disbelievers and a Reminder of the Story of `Ad and Thamud
Allah says:
فَإِنْ أَعْرَضُوا فَقُلْ أَنذَرْتُكُمْ ...
But if they turn away, then say: "I have warned you of,
Allah says: `Say, O Muhammad, to these idolators who disbelieve in the message of truth that you have brought: If you turn away from that which I have brought to you from Allah, then I warn you of the punishment of Allah like the punishment that the past nations suffered for disbelieving in the Messengers.'
... صَاعِقَةً مِّثْلَ صَاعِقَةِ عَادٍ وَثَمُودَ ﴿١٣﴾
a Sa`iqah like the Sa`iqah which overtook `Ad and Thamud.

تفسير ابن كثير
يقول تعالى قل يا محمد لهؤلاء المشركين المكذبين بما جئتهم به من الحق إن أعرضتم عما جئتكم به من عند الله تعالى فإني أنذركم حلول نقمة الله بكم كما حلت بالأمم الماضين من المكذبين بالمرسلين " صاعقة مثل صاعقة عاد وثمود " أي ومن شاكلهما ممن فعل كفعلهما.
تفسير الجلالين
"فإن أعرضوا" أي كفار مكة عن الإيمان بعد هذا البيان "فقل أنذرتكم" خوفتكم "صاعقة مثل صاعقة عاد وثمود" عذابا يهلككم مثل الذي أهلكهم
تفسير القرطبي
يعني كفار قريش عما تدعوهم إليه يا محمد من الإيمان .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«فَإِنْ» الفاء حرف استئناف وإن شرطية «أَعْرَضُوا» ماض وفاعله والجملة ابتدائية لا محل لها «فَقُلْ» الفاء واقعة في جواب الشرط وأمر فاعله مستتر «أَنْذَرْتُكُمْ» ماض وفاعله ومفعوله والجملة مقول القول وجملة فقل في محل جزم جواب الشرط «صاعِقَةً» مفعول به ثان «مِثْلَ» صفة «صاعِقَةً» مضاف إليه «عادٍ» مضاف إليه «وَثَمُودَ» معطوف على عاد.
