إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الْكُفْرَ بِالإِيمَانِ لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئاً وَلهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

Those who purchase Unbelief at the price of faith,- not the least harm will they do to Allah, but they will have a grievous punishment.

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
Allah said about the disbelievers,
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ اشْتَرَوُاْ الْكُفْرَ بِالإِيمَانِ ...
Verily, those who purchase disbelief at the price of faith,
by exchanging disbelief for faith,
... لَن يَضُرُّواْ اللّهَ شَيْئًا ...
not the least harm will they do to Allah.
Rather, they will only harm themselves.
... وَلهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴿١٧٧﴾
For them, there is a painful torment.
Allah said next,
تفسير ابن كثير
قال تعالى مخبرا عن ذلك إخبارا مقررا " إن الذين اشتروا الكفر بالإيمان " أي استبدلوا هذا بهذا " لن يضروا الله شيئا " أي ولكن يضرون أنفسهم " ولهم عذاب أليم ".
تفسير الجلالين
"إن الذين اشتروا الكفر بالإيمان" أي أخذوه بدله "لن يضروا الله" بكفرهم "شيئا ولهم عذاب أليم" مؤلم
تفسير القرطبي
قال الفراء : أي اشتروا أنفسهم بأن يكفروا بما أنزل الله . فاشترى بمعنى باع وبمعنى ابتاع ; والمعنى : بئس الشيء الذي اختاروا لأنفسهم حيث استبدلوا الباطل بالحق , والكفر بالإيمان .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«إِنَّ الَّذِينَ» إن واسم الموصول اسمها.
«اشْتَرَوُا الْكُفْرَ بِالْإِيْمانِ» ماض والواو فاعله الكفر مفعول به والجار والمجرور متعلقان بالفعل.
«لَنْ يَضُرُّوا اللَّهَ شَيْئاً» أداة النصب يضروا فعل مضارع منصوب والواو فاعل اللّه لفظ الجلالة مفعوله شيئا نائب مفعول مطلق منصوب والجملة في محل رفع خبر إن.
«وَلَهُمْ» متعلقان بخبر محذوف.
«عَذابٌ أَلِيمٌ» مبتدأ وصفة والجملة معطوفة أو مستأنفة.
