وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ
Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena

Tafsir Ibn Kathir
How the Disbelievers asked about when the Resurrection would happen, and the Response to Them
Allah tells us how the disbelievers believed it unlikely that the Hour would ever come to pass:
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾
And they say: "When is this promise if you are truthful!''
This is like the Ayah:
يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ
Those who believe not therein seek to hasten it, while those who believe are fearful of it, and know that it is the very truth... (42:18)
تفسير ابن كثير
" ويقولون متى هذا الوعد إن كنتم صادقين " وهذه الآية كقوله عز وجل " يستعجل بها الذين لا يؤمنون بها والذين آمنوا مشفقون منها ويعلمون أنها الحق" الآية ثم قال .
تفسير الجلالين
"ويقولون متى هذا الوعد" بالعذاب "إن كنتم صادقين" فيه

يعني موعدكم لنا بقيام الساعة .
إعراب — grammatical analysis
«وَيَقُولُونَ» مضارع وفاعله والجملة مستأنفة «مَتى » اسم استفهام في محل نصب على الظرفية متعلق بخبر مقدم «هذَا» اسم إشارة مبتدأ «الْوَعْدُ» بدل من اسم الإشارة «إِنْ» حرف شرط جازم «كُنْتُمْ» كان واسمها «صادِقِينَ» خبر كان منصوب بالياء لأنه جمع مذكر سالم والجملة مقول القول وحذف جواب الشرط لدلالة ما قبله عليه
