21:8 وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَداً لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death. 21:34 وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ We granted not to any man before thee permanent life (here): if then thou shouldst die, would they live permanently? 26:128 أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ "Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves? 26:129 وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)?
